WARRACKNABEAL.

Tuesday.

Private Richard GARDINER, a member of the first contingent to South Africa, received an enthusiastic welcome on his arrival in Warracknabeal last night. He was presented with one gold medal by the Rangers and another by Mr Phares Phillips, M.L.C.

WARRACKNABEAL. – The townspeople welcomed home Troopers F. PHILLIPS, A. TAYLOR, C. THOMPSON and DUGGAN, who were met at the train by the members of the Rangers, the fire brigade and the rifle club. A procession took place through the streets to the Temperance Hall, where the men were entertained. Amongst the speakers were Mr P. Phillips, M.P., and Mr J.H. Dyer, M.L.A.  Each soldier was the recipient of a gold medal.
