STRENSALL.

A YEOMAN’S RETURN.

Trooper Walter BROWN, of the Imperial Yeomanry (9th Hussars) recently returned from South Africa, whose parents reside at Strensall, was the principal guest at a dinner given in his honour at the Ship Inn, Strensall, on Tuesday evening. Mr S.H. Culley presided over a large company. Toasts were proposed, and the Rev W.M. Osborne presented to Trooper Brown a gold medallion, suitably inscribed, whilst in the centre of the jewel were the initials of the Trooper. Mr Lindeman also handed to him a silver-mounted pipe and a khaki pouch. Trooper Brown, on rising to respond, was received with enthusiasm. He thanked them from the bottom of his heart for their splendid reception.
