PTE. MATHESON’S RECEPTION.

Nepigon, Ont., January 1, 1901.

A grand banquet and presentation to Mr Kenneth MATHESON took place at Nepigon tonight. The whole town was en fete. Pte. MATHESON was presented with an illuminated address and a gold locket by the citizens, who turned out en masse to do honour to one of the heroes of Paardeberg. Mr MATHESON was met at the station by the school children, who sang “Soldiers of the Queen”, and headed by the Union Jack, was carried to the paternal abode.
