PRESENTATIONS.

In the Royal Hotel on Friday night, Mr Peter McKAY, late of Greenock Police Force, was presented with a purse of sovereigns and a gold albert and appendage on the occasion of his leaving for South Africa to join the Scottish Horse. The purse of sovereigns was presented by Mr McLeod on behalf of his brother constables, and the gold albert by Mr Wm. Thompson on behalf of friends and acquaintances in Greenock. Constable John FORBES, lately returned from the front, occupied the chair, and a very enjoyable evening was spent.
