Meyricke | Robert Evelyn | | Lieutenant | He died of enteric at the Base Hospital, Pietermaritzburg, on March 8th, 1900. He was born in July 1874, educated at Cheltenham and entered the Royal Engineers from the Royal Military Academy, November 1894, being promoted Lieutenant November 1897. Lieutenant Meyricke was stationed in South Africa before the commencement of the war, and served in Natal up to the date of his death. His name is inscribed on the Eleanor Cross War Memorial erected at Cheltenham College.
