Fisher | Arthur Alexander | | Captain | He died March 12th, 1902. He was the second son of Herbert W Fisher of 19 Second Avenue, Hove. He was born August 1866, educated at Winchester, and entered the West Yorkshire Regiment September 1887, was promoted Lieutenant 1889, Captain in 1895, and retired in August 1901. Captain Fisher served with the Dongola Expeditionary Force, under Lord (then Sir Herbert) Kitchener, 1896, receiving the Egyptian medal; also in Uganda 1898, receiving the medal with two clasps. From May 1900, he served as a Special Service Officer with the Rhodesian Field Force in the South African Campaign, and was awarded the medal with two clasps.
