ABO (Kaptein C. J. Wessels). City Coins November 2007

Cornelis Wessels gave his rank as Adjudant on his Vorm “B”: in a later explanatory letter he stated that he served as Adjutant with substantive rank of Captain in the Boer War as well as during the Strike of 1912 in Johannesburg.

He saw action with the Heidelberg Commando at Spion Kop and later under Commandant van Coller of the Heilbron Commando at Groenkop/Krismiskop (25 Dec 1901)
