British 1821 Pattern light cavalry sword, with the Transvaal arms and name "A.J. van Rooijen" etched into the blade.
Retailed by "A. ROSS & CO LD / KING STREET / COVENT GARDEN / LONDON WC".

No. 308 Andries Johannes van Rooyen held the rank of Sersant Majoor (Sgt. Major) in the ZAR Staatsartillerie and was Adjutant of the 2nd Battery.
