Willem Steenkamp served in tbe Pretoria Commando under Commandant Opperman and was present at Dundee (Talana), the Siege of Ladysmith and Spion Kop. He was taken prisoner at Nooitgedacht on 14 July 1901 (POW No. 21483) and was sent to Bermuda. Dr David Biggins

djb Topic Author Offline Administrator Posts: 33091 Thank you received: 5090	ABO (Burger W.E. Steenkamp). City Coins December 2021 ABO Vorm “B” missing. Burgher Willem Engelbrecht of the Pretoria Commando was captured at Nooitgedacht on 14 July 1901 and was imprisoned as a POW on Bermuda. This medal has two drill holes at 5 and 7 o’clock close to the rim which have been poorly filled on both the obverse and reverse. Otherwise Very Fine Dr David Biggins
