ABO (Burg. J.H. Steenkamp). City Coins December 2021

Jacob Hendrik Steenkamp served with the Pretoria Commando under General Erasmus and was present at Ladysmith, Nooitgedacht, Krugersdorp en “vele andere”. He served from 29 September until 10 August 1901 when he was captured and sent to India as a PoW. The issue of his medal was confirmed on 24 March 1924.
