I need assistance to find any further information about Jan Andries Opperman and his activities within the War. I would also appreciate more info on were and how he was wounded. This is my great, great grandfather. I only have a small newspaper article of 1970 from the "Noordtransvaler" stating his death and a bit of info that he fought with General Koos De La Rey.

The best source of information might be the forms he filled in to apply for the Anglo Boere Oorlogsmedalje (Vorm B ) and the Lint Voor Verwonding (I've forgotten what the Vorm was called). You can almost certainly get scans of these for a reasonable fee from Dewald Nel email [email protected]
