Abram Mulder was a member of the Heidelberg Commando for the duration of the war, serving under Field Cornets G Meyer and A Brink.

In “Heidelbergers of the Boer War” by Ian Uys a good overview is given of the actions mentioned by Mulder in his application (Sand River, Brandfort, Donkerhoek, etc).
