ABO (Burger T.A. Jacobs)

According to his medal application Vorm “B”, Thomas Arnoldus Jacobs served in the Pretoria Police under Generals Muller and Ben Viljoen. In the column detailing actions in which he took part, he listed: “Battle of Wilmansrust where General Muller captured 500 Australians and 2 bomb-Maxims on 12 June 1901”.

He was also previously in action against Australians, viz at Rhenosterkop (29 Nov 1900) where the Queensland Imperial Bushmen formed part of General Paget’s Brigade.
