ABO (Burger P.W. Hattingh). City Coins April 2013

According to a letter from the Union Archives, Pieter Willem Hattingh was 17 years old when he joined the Kroonstad Commando. This confirms the birth date given on Vorm ‘B’ where Hattingh indicated his rank as “Adjudant and Despatch Rider” and mentioned service at, among others, Magersfontein, Platrand (Wagon Hill) and Bloemfontein Water Werke (Sannaspost).

Sold with copy of Vorm ‘B' and box of issue.
