ABO (Burger D.J. Hattingh). City Coins November 2009.

Although Dewald Hattingh’s unit is listed as Hogeveld (Highveld) Commando, he served under Comdt. W.F. Pretorius, Hogeveld Ward, Heidelberg Commando.

He served for the duration of the war but only listed participation in the Battle of Bakenlaagte in his application.

Sold with a silver medal engraved to “Dewald Hattingh, H. V. S. 1926 Eretietel” HVS = Hoer Volk Skool, Heidelberg.
