Copies of application forms A, B and C show that Gert Johannes Erasmus lived at Hekpoort, Krugersdorp. Joined up 28 September 1899. Taken P.O.W. November 1901 sent to St Helena. Fought under F.J. Potgieter Commandant and Veld Kornet S. Falbert. Wounded in head on 25 October Bultfontein, Krugersdorp. The application is clearly marked that the applicant had died.
