ABO (Luit S.W. Burger). City Coins April 2013

Schalk Burger was the Secretary of Assistant Commandant General Chris Botha of the Swaziland Commando and the Medal Advisory Board ruled that his rank should be shown as 'Luitenant'.

He saw service from the Battle of Elandslaagte up to 30 March 1902 when he was taken prisoner PoW (No 30589) and sent to Umbilo Camp near Durban.
