Served: General Hertzog. Awarded the DTD (Dekoratie voor Trouwe Dienst).

I purchased the DTD, on his applications for ABO & DTD he did indeed serve with Gen Hertzog, the medals were granted and associated to Boshof Commando, OVS. On his application he also claims that he was also involved in espionage ('geheime spion') and was a POW in St Helena. Its interesting to note he further served as a Kaptein in the VSV
