Attached is a close up of him from another photo of POW's on their way to Bermuda.

His brother was Kommandant Johannes Cornelius Jacobus (Hans) Lötter. Zirk joined his brother while studying medicine in Scotland. My Great-greatgrandfather was Isaak Daniel Buys Lötter , their older brother, and had to testify at Hans' treason trial.

He is listed as Nerk Daniel on some lists and also went by the surname Luther.
