I am researching an ancestor Dr Leslie Haden Guest who worked as a civil surgeon for the last few months of the war. I found he was working as a civilian doctor in Venterstad after the war ended and that there was a British army garrison based there during the war so wondered if anyone knows which army unit was based there and where I might find more records about that unit? As he might have been based with the garrison in Venterstad.
