Frank

The link above has the story of Lt Col Brewin, who turned out to be one of my most productive research projects. As is always the case, I had a great deal of help from many generous people.

Brett

Hello Brett,

I found this, you mention that Brewin went back to England and worked as a secretary sometime after 1907. He might have also spent some time in Ireland ?? The age is correct.

You have become a super sleuth! I am sure that you are right about the man in Dublin, and I am most grateful for yet another page to add to Brewin's voluminous records. The periods when Brewin was not in uniform are like black holes, so he might have been anywhere doing who-knows-what at those times. The information about him being a secretary came with the medals and I never found any confirmation for it.

Hi Brett

There are a number of people who have posted about your man on the message boards on Ancestry. I have taken the liberty, on your behalf, to ask one of them if they have any photos, paperwork, details etc. about him which they would be willing to share.

I will revert when and if they respond - some of these chaps are only temporary members who often disappear.

Regards

Rory
