Good Evening. I am wondering if someone can assist me. When looking at the website, under the heading King Williams Town Town Guard, I find a reference to Beech R Source: WO100/283
How would I proceed to find further information regarding this entry? When I click on the nominal roll images under the letter B I do not find his name listed. What am I doing wrong?

There are no stupid questions, just poorly set up websites. Apologies for the confusion.

WO100/283 is the reference to the medal roll that includes the recipients for the KWTTG. Page 30 of this roll lists 360 Pte R Beech and his name is crossed through to perhaps indicate he was not entitled to a medal. There are no notes against his name as there are for other members of the town guard.

Look across all the rolls for the Boer War, there are a few people called Beech. The following lists all the people with the surname Beech on the medal rolls. Note that there will be some duplicates as the same person is listed on more than one roll.
