Well I happen to have a George Walter Halliday missing from my family tree. He was born Apr-Jun 1869 in Wharfedale. He was the son of Micah (Michael) Halliday and Jane Nicholson. This George can from a large family. Had three brothers Bartle, Foster and Charles Gordon Halliday and three sisters. The onlt mystery I'm trying to solve is that of George Walter Halliday.

Hi there

I am the granddaughter of George Walter Wilson (Halliday)

George Walter Halliday left London aboard the Delphic on 25/10/1899 under the name George Wilson and arrived in Cape Town in November 1899. He served in Marshalls Horse, Warrens Mounted Infantry and the DOEVR until August 1902. On 19/7/1902 under the name of George Walter Halliday Wilson he married Louisa Ellen Marshall and resided in Cape Town until his death on 13/7/1956.

Kind regards
Jenny
