The Queen's Sudan medal was named; however the Khedive's Sudan medal is usually seen either unnamed or else with locally arranged naming.

Appreciated. We recently dicovered that the medals from his 7 sons (Africa and WW1) were taken by a grandson to England and after he died unexpectedly, they were not found in his lodgings. I managed to find a WW1 trio of his osn Patrick but nothing else. Here is his son Martin with Africa and WW1 medals, photo pre 1939.
thanks again

I really like seeing pics like that of Martin. A really stern looking man, dressed for the occasion and with his WW1 trio a bit out of order! What a Generation they were.
