The Aberdeen Journal, Tuesday 9th November 1920

His grave is at St Mary Magdalen's Church, Ripley, Surrey, near Guildford.





The village war memorial, in the churchyard of St Mary Magdalen Church. Eldest son, Martin, is included in the village dead.

Thanks, David. I contacted John Meyers, the Director of the museum, as I was trying to confirm where Colonel Young's grave is, and in his response he sent all the photos, so the credit has to go to him.

The museum looks to be very interesting and well worth a visit. I wonder if IL has been there.

Maryborough facts - the writer of the Mary Poppins books was born there, which is why it has a statue of Mary Poppins.

Their website is very interesting and the museum is housed in a wonderful colonial-style building.
