Hi
I'm looking for service record/medal entitlement for my Gt. Gr. Uncle Robert Monteith.
Robert Monteith was born in Wicklow Ireland and served in India and South Africa and was possibly
at Ladysmith.
That is as much as I know re his British Army service.
He went on to be involved in the Irish Brigade with Roger Casement and the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland.
Many thanks in advance
Frank

Hi
Done a search in the RHA lists it looks like he was awarded six clasps on his QSA.
Belfast, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith and Laing's Nek.
New to this so still not 100% sure.
Thanks

Frank
My Artillery CD roll shows him as being awarded clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Laing's Nek and Belfast. As a matter of interest, the Cape Colony clasp was added to his stack for service in G Battery. He was awarded a KSA as well as Bdr. There is nothing to suggest on the roll that he did not receive his medals.
Regards
IL.
