The Queens South Africa medal roll for the National Scouts shows a medal issued to 4555 Tpr J.W. Meintjies,, but was returned to the British Mint 1/3/1909 as unclaimed. There are two other Meintjies listed on the roll with consecutive numbers, an A.J. and a H.W.
