I'm searching for my grandfather who came to South Africa from Northumberland, England at the time of the Boer War and was possibly serving in the Scots Guards or Black Watch. He didn't return to England and seemed to have lived in the Cape Province for most of his life and died at the Conradie Hospital in June 1940. Some of the names of his children born early 1900's are Lily Wallace, Helen Maude Wallace, John Wallace, Jean Wallace, Thomas Wallace, William Wallace, Charles Wallace and Richard Wallace. Any information at all would be most appreciated. I am particularly searching for his links or origin in Northumberland UK. Thanks, Jennifer
