I was wondering if anyone can tell me what "Blacklist" means on the Boer war medal rolls attached?

Any help would be very much appreciated

I am not able to answer your query directly, but the following may help:

1) His Long Service Papers from WWI are available at The National Archives, Kew, ( discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C1116134 ) and may hold some answers.

2) I have located a notice in the London Gazette which shows he was dismissed from the service by Court Martial ( www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/29618/page/5743 ) in 1916.

I had just discovered his papers before i posted this topic.

Was just looking for more clarity before a trip down to Kew.

Hopefully, i will get a definitive answer.
