Good evening all,

I am an escapee from the Great War forum where I have been researching this Lieutenant (a Surgeon Commander RN in the Second World War). livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/3733136

The "Prisoners of the First World War" records gave me his birthplace as Johannesburg in 1898, although by 1914 he was at school in Arbroath, and his uncle in Scotland as a contact.

I am trying to identify his parents and was wondering whether his father might have been involved with the medical service in the Boer War. One of the .pdfs on this site mentions a Dr G.E. Richmond - "Dr G. E. Richmond, M.B. was first on the staff of the Imperial Yeomanry Hospital, Deelfontein. He came out a second time, and became Senior Physician of the Elandsfontein Hospital, where he did most excellent work" - but I can't trace either Dr G.E. or a connection with Lt. A.H.D.

Can anyone help? Thanks ever so...
