There is only one D Durkin on the rolls, serving in the No 1 Service Company Volunteers attached to the 1st Battalion West Riding Regiment. His number was 6152. Awarded the QSA with clasps CC OFS & Transvaal. WO100/186p191 refers.

There are some service papers for 6152 Durkin but with a different forename, Baird.
