Hello everyone,

I am trying to find any information on my great great grandfather, David Little.

I believe he was born in England in 1828 and was a gunner / driver in the Royal Artillery in Fort Napier.

The first time I see him is getting married toElizabeth Tunnicliffe in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa in 1855.

It seems he may also have been a private in the Rand Rifles during the Second Boer War and his number was 24747. I think he may have recieved the 1853 Campaign Medal.

I would be very grateful for any information.

Stacy

David Little was with the 4th Company 5th Battalion in the Third Kaffir War.

The 4th Co 5th Btn OC Capt Lethbridge arrived at the cape in October 1849 and was stationed at Fort Napier, Natal.
