This photograph of the Cape Town Highlanders (CTH) has been in our family archive for many years but we have not been able to identify the location. We don't think it is at the CTH headquarters in Cape Town because of the damaged state of the doorway architrave, the general debris on the ground and the chalked drawing on the building visible on the wall beside the architrave. The stonework doesn't match any historic building I have viewed through searches on line. My grandfather, Francis Mundon Russell, is the young gent in reclined position front row far right in the photo. Would anyone happen to recognise the building?
