'Amongst the Loyalists in Cape Colony: A scene near Middelburg

A correspondent writes: 'With so much disaffection in the north of Cape Colony, it was a great comfort to meet the other day a family of out-and-out loyalists at a farm near Middelburg, The girls were particularly enthusiastic. They came out to see our camp, with a small Union Jack and we photographed them on a gun-carriage.'
