I have a 4 bar (SA 02, SA01, TV, CC named to Tpr E (Edgar?) G Davis Driscoll's Scouts On the roll there is a red line through his name with the note: Joined JMR (Johannesburg Mounted Rifles?) not Driscoll's Scouts, at least I think that's what it says. But there doesn't appear to be an E G Davis on the JMR roll? Any information appreciated.

Good morning,
Can you tell us the exact number/naming on the medal and what roll have you actually looked at?
Regards Frank

It is named: TPR E. G. DAVIS. DRISCOLL'S SCOUTS

I did the name search on this site and looked at the roll located at the end of the unit information. It looks like the medal roll (WO 127?) has not been put in digital format yet?

Thanks

I can't see this man on their medal roll either, which begs the question, where does the medal come from?
Is the medal impressed?

The naming is impressed. Is it the Johannesburg Mounted Rifles roll that you don't see him? Did I read correctly the note on the Driscoll's Scouts roll saying he wasn't in that unit but in JMR?

I'm not sure where I got the medal from.

Hello,
There is no one on the medal roll of Driscoll's Scouts with that name, which, again, beings into question the naming on your medal, I should have asked, is the naming officially impressed?
There is an Edgar Davis in WO100/253 in both the JMR's main and supplementary rolls, but, you have said that your medal is named "Driscoll's Scouts" so you have to then look at the way this medal has been named.
