Shame you missed that one
Excuse my ignorance but does that mean the original QSA would of had the raised dates?
I also like the MGR badge, one of my favourites, a real work of art.

Hello Paul.....

No there were no raised dates on this medal.....

Of the 123 known medals to Strathcona's Horse there are 49 Dated, 49 Ghost, 22 Date Removed and 3 Unknown or Late Issue medals.....

These 22 are dated medals where the dates have been removed by a jeweler's or engraver's chisel or tool of some kind show marks where the dates were at one time present and not the second issue where there are Ghost Dates.

There are also Seven other dated medals to units other than Strathcona's Horse bringing the total to 56........
