I am doing some research and trying to identify the formation and disbandment date for each of the Town Guards. At the moment I am pulling what info I can off the rolls, but most don't mention the dates.

If you happen to know the date of a TG, please list it and I will add it to the list or check it against a date I may have.

This will eventually turn into an OMRS article and I will give you acknowledgment there. We could also then add the dates to this site?

I don't think there are many applicable dates on this site as yet.

I can sent you information relating to Ladysmith and Kimberley TGs unless you already have these two covered?

I will check the newspapers and see what they contain.

Does anyone know of newspapers from SA for the period that are available on line?

This site suggest the east London TG was formed in Jan 1900.
