Help, please.

I've been looking at a QSA to this man with clasps, Natal, Transvaal and Johannesburg. The last of these is loose- and I don't think that the Johannesburg and Transvaal clasps go together? I can't find him on the medal roll to check his correct entitlement, although in a section of the roll I have for other members of the same unit a number of men have both the Natal and TVL clasps .

Thanks

Patrick

Patrick,

You are setting some trick Christmas challenges.

I cannot find A Powe on the medal rolls, neither in the index nor on WO100/146. The number looks to be in the correct range for the RGA.

I have also checked FindMyPast. There is a man called Alexander Powe, born 1880, which looks about right. If you have access to FMP, it would be worth a look.

On the medal, how is the unit abbreviated?

Kind regards
David
