Hello Mike,
I think that Royston's Horse was very much the unit of the 1906 rebellion, any collector interested in 1906 should have some examples in his collection!

Dear Frank

100% agreed. It was a great unit and saw combat. Combat in the rebellion was rare but very bloody and scary when it happened. Close combat with an assegai is not something to look forward to.

Here is a nice Roystons Horse group to Capt Clerk who was wounded in action during the rebellion. The account is well documented.

DSO
QSA - CC OFS Tvl SA01 SA02 - Lieut E G Clerk Q'land IB
Natal 1906 - 1906 - Capt E G Clerk Roystons Horse
1914-15 Star - Capt 4th MR
BWM and Vic (B) - Major

Kind regards

Munroe

Mike,

Another nice pair of medals.

I am always struck by how light the naming is in the Natal Medal. This would potentially make it easier to rename but then I don't think I have noticed any renamed Natal Medals either. Happy to corrected on that point!

Many thanks
David

Munroe,

A QSA to the QIB is rare enough but in that group - wow!

Best wishes
David
