Enlisted 17.7.95. Trooper, Natal Police (No1533).

Anglo-Boer War; Mobilized 11.10.99. Relief of Ladysmith operations.

Discharged 28.3.00. Enlisted 2.4.00. Trooper, Natal Mounted Rifles (No411)

Operations in Natal. Inv from the field. Discharged 8.10.00.

Enlisted 25.6.01. Private ‘D’ Company, Thorneycroft’s Mounted Infantry (No15378)

Discharged (Medically unfit) 14.9.01.

Enlisted 22.3.02. Trooper, ‘M’ Squadron, 2nd Kitchener’s Fighting Scouts (No716).

Enlisted 20.4.06. Trooper, Royston’s Horse (No145), Zulu Rebellion 1906.

1914-18;

Enlisted 5.1.16. Private, 2nd South African Infantry (No8873). South African Service only. Discharged 29.11.16.

The card confirms despatch of the BW medal (he only served in SA) and mentions the award of the Silver Badge and Kings Certificate No 2829 Died 1929

Age at death 54, died 13 July 1929, Addington Hospital Durban

Occupation retired
