Well, nearly.

Lot 128 in the next Wellington Auctions is the no clasp QSA to QMS F C Smith of the Malton District Rifle Association. The medal apparently comes with a copy of the roll so the unit name ought perhaps to have been more readily readable. That said, WO100/283p195 that contains F C Smith's name does not show the unit name very clearly. Ancestry transcribed it as 'Malton District Rifle Abreiation' which is a step closer to the truth.

A nice QSA in GVF condition.

Good morning David,
You need to bare in mind that records are not always transcribed by people in Great Britain or indeed people who can actually speak English, as a result, a search is often made much more difficult than it should be.
Kind regards Frank
