I would not be happy with that Rhodesia clasp, Mike. Here is an original at the top of your image. My concerns are the spacing between the strokes of the 'S', the definition on the 'A' and that the clasp does not feel quite right.

Here is a Defence of Mafeking being sold today as a copy clasp.

Original clasp at the top, copy in the middle. The lower image is a duplicate of the clasp marked up with the areas of concern;

1. Difference in the letters, eg the shape and width eg of the D and O
2. The middle of the M does not go all the way down to the base of the letter
3. The amount of space between the letter and the top and bottom on the clasp. There is less vertical height in the letters of the copy clasp

Thanks for these two images David - the original clasps are much bolder in their striking.

A copy Modder River clasp from the next Warwick and Warwick sale. It is not stated as such so I have contacted Paul Murray of W&W.
