Hello David,
Yes, it does rather add a little, however, as far as I know, all the medals to masters that HM King Edward handed over himself are always additionally impressed "In Command" all mine certainly are, this particular example also marks what was to become a new phase in medal collecting, for me, at least, it was the first time that I had bid in a London sale room, without actually being present in the room itself, I was logged into Spink live and just used a high speed connection and of course, the mouse!
