Hello Brett,
The pair to Alan Halliday Johnson is really superb, whilst, the QSA is very nice, I think the BSA Co to a Natal Volunteer is really magnificent and very rare!
Regards Frank

Rennie's British Medals are advertising the QSA to Captain Rupert Wickham, ILH. The price is £1,250

QSA (2) CC, (Relief of Mafeking), Elandslaagte (Captain R.B.W. Wickham, Imp. Lt. Horse).

He was severely wounded Elandslaagte. He is not entitled to the RoM clasp and the clasp on the QSA is of poor manufacture.

Captain Rupert W.B. Wickham, Corpl. Imperial Light Horse 23 Sep 99, Lieut. 1 May 00, later Captain with the Commander in Chiefs Bodyguard.

A letter home written by Rupert Wickham appears reproduced in several newsheets of the time: 'Here I am in hospital at Pietermaritsberg and am sending you my coat. You will see I have five bullets in my clothes and small splinters but have come out with only three wounds barring scratches so I have come off well especially as one of the shots went through my left breast pocket and glanced off a small stud and so did not spifficate my heart.'
