How do they manage to maintain such quality even with an annual catalogue?

Unlike some other countries, in South Africa City Coins is the only realistic option for successfully disposing of quality medals and/or large collections. Although many local medal collectors have already died or emigrated, there are still several notable collections in this country that will pass through City Coins' doors.

Morning Brett,

I had not thought of where the material was located and can only image the complications of selling a large number of items in a non-SA auction.

Back for another read of the catalogue. I am trying to validate Justin's last comment!

Best wishes
David

I think the annual City Coins offering is always quite good, but, only because I have an interest in South Africa and its history in the 19th century, I have very many friends, who have looked at this auction and many others over the years and they have been hard pressed to find anything to interest them, but then, none of them are Anglo Boer War collectors!
