Hi
I am researching a relative named Morris, James Ayres, 25446, Trooper, who served with the 49th Company, 9th Bn, Imperial Yeomanry, and note on your web site the information source is given as QSA Medal Rolls. Does that mean he was awarded the Queens S. A. Medal?

Hi Frank
I am very grateful for your prompt reply. I wondered if you could advise where to look for information on his service in South Africa, I would very much like to build a picture of his army life, what he did in the war, etc.
Best Regards, Roy

Hello again, its all happening today on this forum! :woohoo:
Members of the Imperial Yeomanry who served in the Anglo Boer War had to attest and their papers are found in WO128 at the TNA Kew, some of which are available on line from their own site.
Regards again Frank

Frank,

I was about to suggest WO128 but you beat me to it!

I don't know of other IY information sources. Do you?

Hi David,
No, not something I could ever get into, the exception being Lovat's Scouts! :woohoo: I have to say that I prefer the SAMIF.
Regards Frank
