David,

I am making my way through past City Coins catalogues looking for Defence of Mafeking medals. What is the earliest City Coins reference you have (I will stop checking for bronze medals at that point).

I have recently been through some of the Day postal auctions from the 1960s but this was a (frustrating) time when no names were added to the entry.

Best wishes
David

1989 is my earliest - any you find, I would be most appreciative knowing about. .

Is my frustration as well - I did look through a huge number of early catalogues including Day's & others & just noted to a "native". The same story to-day. The name is often left out as if there was a hierarchy.as to whose medals are worth collecting. Try & get that information out of ebay sellers........But keep them coming - always interesting to know what's out there - even if it was "before my time"

The running total so far is 229 bronze & 94 silver medals that have changed hands publically

Best wishes
David
