Enlisted 2nd BrH 12 March 1900 in Cape Town and posted to the Reserve Troop. Aged 21. Nationality: English. Trade: Carpenter. NOK: Aunt, Crewe, England. Discharged 15 October 1900 in Pretoria. Also served IMR (not traced).

Sold at City Coins August 2014 (sold with miniature group).

Liverpool Medals 12 May 2023:

Cape of Good Hope GSM, bar Basutoland 1880-1, QSA, 4 bars, CC, Wepener, Transvaal, Wittebergen, Private James George Townshend, Cape Mounted Rifles in both wars.

I noticed this sold on Tuesday for a hammer price of £520.

Hello, I've recently purchased the Piggin family bible. This was presented to Richard Salt Piggin father to Frederic and Henry. Went to where Richard and is Wife are buried. Frederic's name is on the gravestone. I was wondering what clasps would both the brothers have on there QSA and KSA.
