Nice pair of medals to 8 Tpr J.E. Kaufmann, Rundle Scouts. 1935 Jubilee confirmed on SA roll, listed as Public Servant.

John Ernest Kaufmann is on the QSA roll of the Tembuland Mounted Rifle Club and listed as having transferred to Rundle Scouts on 17 Jul 1900. The Rundle Scouts roll provided on this website has him listed as joining on 30 Jul 1900 and discharged 12 Feb 1901. The Rundle Scout QSA roll confirms the Cape Colony and Orange Free State clasps and additional service with the Umtata T.G. and Tembuland F.F. The Supplimantal QSA roll confirms the South Africa 1901 clasp.

Father to Capt G.H. Kaufman, DFC ('43), MID ('42), KIA 18 Jul 44, shot down by flak over Normandy in his Typhoon with 182 RAF, previously with 4 SAAF in Africa and Italy.

Well done with that one. In over 40 years of being interested in the QSA, yours is the first example of which I have heard.
