For anyone keeping track of extant medals to the Ladysmith Town Guard, here is a recent addition to the collection. William Gourlay served with the Natal Government Railways Rifle Association in the Defence of Ladysmith. As was always the case, whether serving with the Klipriver RA or N.G.R.R.A., their medals were issued off the Ladysmith Town Guard roll.
